Our Volunteers are STEM lovers from middle schools, high schools, colleges, and universities. They are highly talented and self-taught individuals who are very passionate about sharing their STEM learning activities with the community. NanoBeasts volunteers are creative individuals who make learning fun, project-based, and interactive.

Aum Suthar

Aum (2)My name is Aum Suthar, and I  am 12 years old studying at Scullen Middle School, Naperville, Illinois. Currently, I am doing voluntary work for the NanoBeasts STEM +Robotics to help other kids learn Scratch programming, Lego WeDo programming, LittleBits, and LabVIEW based Mindstorms programming.  I enjoy playing sports like basketball, soccer, and tennis. I love to spend my free time creatively by drawing, wood carving, building robots, and make informative videos to share what I learned.

I am a self-learner and progressing in learning below technical/language skills:

Programming Languages – Scratch, Python, Sonicpi, ScratchJr.

Operating System - macOSX, Windows, Linux, Ubuntu, Raspbian

Other Utilities - Raspberry Pi, and Arduino

What do you like about NanoBeasts STEM + Robotics?

I like NanoBeasts STEM + Robotics because I think it gets kids engaged in the STEM programs. I love that it is hands-on and interactive. The teachers are very friendly and teach kids every angle in each topic!

 

Sohum Suthar

SohumMy name is Sohum Suthar, and I am 10 years old studying at Scullen Middle School, Naperville, Illinois. Currently, I am doing voluntary work for the NanoBeasts STEM +Robotics to help other kids learn Scratch programming, Lego WeDo programming, LittleBits, and LabVIEW based Mindstorms programming. I love to play sports like soccer, tennis, and basketball. I love to spend my free time to explore technology and electronics, such as setting up my Raspberry Pi, do cool projects with LittleBits, Arduino, and 3D printing.

I am a self-taught student, and I am progressing in learning below technical/language skills:

Why I like NanoBeasts?

I like NanoBeasts because kids have hands-on learning which helps them learn faster. NanoBeasts have many fun, exciting projects to spark kids’ minds. NanoBeasts make learning complicated programming languages easier to understand. What NanoBeasts has taught me helped me in school a lot. Without NanoBeasts I wouldn’t know so much about how the technology works!

Sailesh Patnala

Sailesh

My name is Sailesh Patnala, and I am Junior at the University of California, Davis working towards my BS

in Computer Science and Engineering. Currently, I am doing voluntary tutoring for the Davis Computer

Science Club (of which I am an active member) to help other undergraduate computer science students

in topics like programming in C++, data structures, and algorithm analysis. I am also learning about web

development and working towards becoming a full stack programmer. In the future, I want to get involved in

some research related to big data and data analytics. In my free time I enjoy playing sports like basketball,

soccer and tennis.

What do you like about NanoBeasts STEM + Robotics?

At NanoBeasts, I like how children are exposed to a technology-driven environment that encourages innovative ideas and product development while teaching them the related STEM topics. Their hands-on and interactive approach to teaching, exploring the “hows” and “whys” build interests as wells as motivates them to learn more. Concisely, I like how NanoBeasts has built a way to show young children the potential that technology has to revolutionize the world and sculpt their interest and skills accordingly.
